HOW IT ALL BEGAN!

Drivers Medical Solutions Ltd was launched in January 2018 by Dr Derek Dundas. He has been providing low cost medicals to hauliers and bus/coach drivers for over 10 years throughout the central belt of Scotland. We developed the business with drivers in mind, we don’t expect you to take time off work to have your medical performed. We offer flexible appointments to suit your schedule. Appointments are done from 9am until 8pm depending on sites.

Medicals may be available at your place of work if facilities exist and from our offices in Falkirk, Prestwick, Hamilton, Perth, Dumfries, Livingston and Glasgow.

In order to reduce your need to take holidays to attend for your medical, I provide medicals 6 days a week.

New Falkirk Clinic

As many of you will know, I previously ran the Westburn Medical Practice in Falkirk. My Falkirk clinic has now moved to the Falkirk Football Club Stadium and will run weekly on a Friday from 2pm until 7pm. These are available to book now. I have also recently teamed up with Pass 4 Me training in 719a South Street Whiteinch Glasgow. This clinic will run on Friday mornings.

New Hamilton Clinic

The Hamilton Clinic has also moved to a new site following the closure of the VR training facility on Bothwell Road. The new office is : Inspirent Barncluith Business Centre Towhead Street Hamilton ML3 7DP. Parking in plentiful just enter the carpark via Miller Street.

Office Addresses

The DVLA D4 medical examination for HGV/LGV/PCV drivers is deemed mandatory by the DVLA for all those applying for their provisional licence and for those in need of licence renewal. This medical must be conducted every 5 years until the age of 65, thereafter it requires to be completed annually. In certain circumstances, the DVLA may insist in your medical being performed at times out with the usual time frames. If in doubt call us for advice.
